Emma Louise Prin is a photographer born in 1996 in the north of France. All of Emma’s photographs are captured with a pinhole camera, a simple camera without a lens but with a tiny aperture. She uses the pinhole method because it allows her to create images closer to her emotions.
To bring the concept of a pinhole camera to life, I designed an all-white book with a minimalist aesthetic, using an elegant serif typeface. At the center of the cover, I added a laser-cut "pinhole" with a flap to conceal it, evoking a sense of secrecy and intimacy. This idea extended to the first page, where a photograph mirror the act of taking a picture. To enhance the pinhole camera theme, chapter dividers were intentionally blurred, gradually sharpening as the pages turned—mimicking the process of developing a photograph.
